Nature is at once a delicate flower and a formidable beast. It surrounds us and gives us life, yet we still try to claim and overtake it. Some people are afraid of the great outdoors, while others go out and get lost in them. Beautiful and scary, nature has the ability to give new life or completely destroy it.
If we were all inspired by and respectful towards nature, we may learn something about ourselves. Nature has inspired many famous quotes from poets, writers, and philosophers who look to nature for answers and repose. We tend to get lost in our daily lives and jobs, and we forget that nature is both a reprieve and a sanctuary for our busy minds. Today, why not take a break and sit outside, or stop and smell the roses?
Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.
There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.
– Lord Byron
A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.
Just living is not enough… one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.
-Hans Christian Anderson
Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer’s day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.
Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.
-Henry David Throeau
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.
