Great Quotes from the Democratic National Convention

We’re finally in the last stage of the election cycle. It seems like it has been going on forever though. The long drawn out primary battle that the Republican candidates competed in felt like it took years to finish. Lots of “he said, she said” and other attack quotes flying left and right during those primaries. Now things have settled and we have Romney versus Obama.

The American people will be getting out to vote in less than two months. Recently we were able to watch both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention. In the spirit of fairness, we thought we’d provide for you some of the best quotes from the DNC this year courtesy of policymic.

“Take two tax cuts, roll back some regulation, and call us in the morning.” – Barack Obama describing in his words the Republican plan for the economy.

“Ask Osama bin Laden if he is better off than 4 years ago.” – John Kerry mocking the Republican insistence on asking people if they are better off than 4 years ago.

“Congressman Ryan looked into that TV camera and attacked President Obama’s Medicare savings. It takes some brass to attack a guy for doing what you did.” – Bill Clinton on Ryan’s criticism of Obama for doing the same thing he planned to do with Medicare.

“Governor Romney said that as president, he would take a jobs tour. Well with his support for outsourcing, it would have to be a foreign trip.” – Joe Biden on Romney’s past business oversight.

Arguably one of the best quotes from the DNC:

“They want to get rid of those pesky financial regulation designed to prevent another crash and prohibit future bailouts. As another president once said, there they go again.” – Bill Clinton, turning Reagan’s famous words back on the Republican party.

There’s no doubt we’ll be hearing a lot more quotable things in the near future as this campaign heats up. We’ll keep you posted.
