First of all, hopefully everyone had a great Labor Day holiday on Monday of this week. It’s always nice when we have a long weekend to enjoy summer as it nears its end. Labor Day has been a long-running holiday and it’s during a well-deserved time of the year.
There aren’t that many holidays at all after spring ends. It can get stressful and boring in the work grind that we get so used to. So to show how much we like Labor Day, we thought we’d provide some great quotes about work for our readers. Hopefully you enjoy them as much as we do!
“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.” This from the famous Thomas Jefferson. I guess things really don’t change that much.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Easier said than done, Confucius.
“Work is no disgrace; the disgrace is idleness.” – Greek Proverb
“Thunder is good, thunder is impressive; but it is lightning that does the work.” We love this quote by Mark Twain. Too many thunderous people out there with no lightning!
“Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.” – Ovid. Hopefully you got to rest this Labor Day!
“Hard work doesn’t guarantee success, but improves its chances.” This from B.J. Gupta. We like it a lot, there’s always other factors besides hard work behind why people became succesfull!
Anyway, we hope you enjoyed some of these work-related quotes for the day. There won’t be another holiday until October. That’s not as bad as June and August when we don’t have any holidays! Do you have any other quotes related to work? Feel free to send them in!
