Monday, the 24th of February would have been Steve Jobs’ 59th birthday. It’s hard to believe that it has already been three years since the iconic techie, inventor, and big thinker passed away. Still, his legacy continues to live on and the tech world definitely misses his presence.

Jobs was an inspiration for countless people around the world. His words of wisdom, advice, and even his personality have been the focus of books, movies, and documentaries. He helped turn Apple into the multi-billion dollar company it is today and created gadgets that people love.

No one knows what Apple would be up to had Steve Jobs’ not had to leave the country due to his deteriorating health. Regardless, his legacy lives on, and it’s likely he won’t be forgotten any time soon.

With that in mind and in honor of his birthday, NaQ would like to share some of his most inspiring, interesting, and unique quotes.

On making mistakes, something Apple should have followed with its Apple maps fiasco a few years ago: “Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.”

Jobs’ unique perspective on computers and what they mean to people:  “What a computer is to me is it’s the most remarkable tool that we have ever come up with. It’s the equivalent of a bicycle for our minds.”

This is from one of Jobs’ most remembered speeches, his commencement address at StanfordUniversity in 2005: “Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

There are plenty more quotes and remarks out there that Jobs gave the world. If you know of some excellent ones, feel free to share them with us here at NaQ.
