We like quotes here at NAQ.com. We wouldn’t have this website if we didn’t like them. We’re sure you’re here to find some interesting quotes that will make you think, or inspire you to be a better person for the day.
Reading quotes is a useful activity. There is very little in the world that can convey a powerful message with few words. Books and movies use thousands of words to tell a story or to move you to tears or fear. But a quote works differently. A well-said quote hits us deep down and we are able to absorb and think about it fully. There are no distractions of technology or audio and video. It’s just you and the quote.
So to help you have a better day, we thought we’d share some great quotes with you.
The first comes from Albert Einstein, who said a great deal of things throughout his fascinating life. One of our favorites is: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” We like that one because it makes you stop and think about how you view the world, even if just for a few seconds.
Another great one comes from George Eliot: “It is never too late to be what you might have been.” We like this quote because it is really up front with the reader. It’s saying that there’s really no excuse: go be that thing you always said you could have been.
Eleanor Roosevelt has a great quote attributed to her that is good to keep in mind the next time you might feel like gossiping. She said, “Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people.” How’s that for to the point?
Lastly, an important one for people who feel frustrated and stuck. This comes from H. Jackson Brown Jr.: “When you can’t change the direction of the wind — adjust your sails.”
We hope you enjoyed these quotes and spent some time thinking about them!
