Surviving The Green Monster – Jealousy

Jealousy: the giant green monster that can devour us whole. Jealousy is a strange emotion because it is hard to grasp, yet it is present in everyone. In fact, jealousy has even been observed in infants that are only five months old! Some claim that it is only present in certain cultures, while others attest that it is a global emotion. Have you ever felt jealous? It’s a bizarre feeling. Your heart fills with dread and anxiety and your body begins to sweat with anger. We may never agree whether it is a result of certain cultural beliefs or it is a biological response. Next time you feel the green monster creeping up, try and remember that jealousy is relative, and you can stop it if you try hard enough.
