What’s the name of your favorite pet? Most people have owned a pet at some point in their lives. Pets are more than just animals that inhabit our house. Pets are our buddies, and they will always hold a special place in our hearts. Sometimes, a pet seems to understand you in ways that your friends and loved ones don’t.
Pets are there for us at the end of a long day of work. They don’t judge us if we’ve had a bad day and need to cry or eat a carton of ice cream. They eat our furniture, bring dead animals to the front door, and sometimes do stuff that can only be explained as weird. But still, we will always love our pets like part of our family.
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself.”
“Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”
“Time spent with cats is never wasted.”
“Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.”
“An animal’s eyes have the power to speak a great language.”
“There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.”
“In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.”
“If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans.”
“I like animals because they are not consciously cruel and don’t betray each other.”
“Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections, predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal. Difficult standards for people to live up to.”
-Alfred A. Montapert
